You may recognise her by her trademark makeup, hat and suit. Well, behind this "piloty" character goes a girl DJ and EDM producer Aera Dimirest.
Born on 02.04.2006 and raised in Moscow, Russia in the family of brand-ambassador of a famous wine company (mum) and a capital of RSU (Russian Sommeliers' Union) (dad), Aera became fascinated by technology, gaming and computer design.
Her mum and dad got divorced when Aera was only 8. No one even thought that her next year will launch a hobby, which soon will become her life.
When Aera was 9, she became incredibly fascinated and inspired by "Faded", written by Alan Walker and started making music, first, using simple apps on her tablet, then, with more and more complicated ones on the computer.
Her first melody "Boeing" (unofficial project, available on SoundCloud) made her not to give up and gain more and more listeners all around the world. She also tried many different types of EDM, like electro house, deep house, progressive house, downtempo and future-bass.
"When you make music, - she says - all you need is absolute silence. I mean when nobody is screaming, when dogs aren't barking, when you understand that right now you can hear only what you're actually doing or trying to do. It's, actually, what especially I need, but I guess, I'm not the only person who needs no distractors to make something good."
When Aera was 12, she released and performed at her school her debut single, called "Firefly". Her song soon became one of her school hits and started some of her fans and made her come closer to her dream.
"It was like an explosion. - Aera admits - Just imagine: nearly 150 students are trying to talk to you after the party which is, actually, not your own concert. It made me feel like if I was someone who could listen to each person in the crowd. It's a very strange feeling, but if I want to become famous, I need to get used.
But what's for Aera's image? Actually, it's one of the echos of her previous dream. "Before becoming a DJ, I wanted to become a pilot. - she says - But pilots must have perfect eyesight and I have astigmatism. That's why I chose something between being a pilot and music, because DJ station is like pilots' cabin, but much smaller and easier."
Aera shows no sign of slowing down or stopping her career. She plans to release more music and gain popularity among people all over the world. Everything comes closer and closer to the moment when she will become a voice of her generation.
